Falling Fast

Falling, diving, plummeting fast, a living comet streaking past. Pure evil races in my wake, the souls of mortals it hungers to take.

Slivers of wind ruffle every feather, I must escape the cloud altogether.

Tangled are my feet, panicked is my soul, the rumbling smoke wishes to devour me whole.

Overwhelming is the raw power of hate, but I will not resign myself to such a dreadful fate.

I am thankful the night is fading, for the sun's kiss shall rescue me. My darkest shadows will burn away and forever I shall be free.
